Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 1 sweet onion, chopped
- 4 slices of bacon or BBQ brisket, chopped (omit for vegetarian)
- 15 oz can pork-n-beans (or another type for vegetarian)
- 15 oz can navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 15 oz can ranch style beans
- 15 oz can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tbsp BBQ sauce
- 2 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp garlic pepper
- 4 Tbsp picanté sauce
- 1 Jalapeño, seeded and diced
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Sauté the onion and bacon.
- Combine all ingredients in a pot and let simmer for 1/2 hour.
- Stir often so as not to burn or scorch the beans.
