Cookies: Ice Box

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. Cream the shortening, sugar, and brown sugar in a KitchenAid mixing bowl.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Add flour, nuts, and baking soda.
  4. Form 4 rolls on floured wax paper.
  5. Let it stay in the fridge overnight.
  6. Slice in the morning and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes on a greased and floured cookie sheet.
