- Dough
- Cornmeal
- Oil
- Sauce
- Cheese
- Any toppings you like
- Make or buy the dough, cut in half for two smaller pizzas
- Roll dough on or between parchment paper until about 1/4 inch thick, use flour on rolling pin to keep from sticking
- Dust a pan with cornmeal and place the dough on it to rest.
- Preheat the griddle to medium heat, about 350 F to 375 F.
- Prep all toppings because the crust will cook fast.
- Oil the grill and spread it around with a spatula.
- Place the pizza in the oil and let it cook for about 3 minutes or so.
- Gently lift the end with the spatula and when it’s nicely browned flip it over. Cooking both sides will give it an extra crispy texture.
- Once you’ve flipped your pizza, it’s time for the sauce, cheese, and toppings.
- Once you’ve added your toppings, cover it up with a cooking dome so the cheese will melt. It will only take a few minutes, so make sure you keep an eye on it so the bottom doesn’t burn.
- Move to the low/no heat side of the griddle if necessary to prevent the bottom from burning.
