Smoothies

Basically, you can make a smoothie with any variety of fruits, veggies, or other ingredients.

Tips

  • Substitute water for milk
  • Extra sugar is generally not needed, add only after blending and tasting
  • Throw veggies that are going bad in a blender for your own V8 juice
  • If prepping veggies, save the scraps in the fridge or freezer for your next smoothie
  • Buy ripe bananas on sale, peel and freeze for smoothies
  • Freeze your salad greens that are going bad and put in your next smoothie
