Use the traditional Texas Trash dry ingredients or the following:
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups traditional Chex Mix
- 2 cups cheddar Chex Mix
- 2 cups Bugles
- 1 cup mixed nuts
Sauce Ingredients
Use the traditional Texas Trash sauce or the following:
- 8 Tbsp (1 stick) butter
- 2 Tbsp Pitt Boss Cowboy Butter Rub
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Preheat grill to 275.
- Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Melt butter, then stir in Cowboy Butter Rub and cayenne pepper.
- Pour sauce over dry ingredients and stir well.
- Transfer ingredients to a large aluminum pan and place on upper rack of grill.
- Smoke for 40 minutes, mixing every 10 minutes.
- Turn off heat and continue smoking for another hour or two, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Remove from smoker and enjoy some of the best party mix on the planet .
