Cauliflower Steaks

Ingredients 

  • 1 head of cauliflower, about 2 pounds, for 2 steaks
  • Olive oil
  • Any steak seasonings you like or just salt and pepper
  • Pesto, salsa verde, steak sauce, or other wet rubs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Remove cauliflower leaves and cut stem flush with bottom florets.
  2. Cut head in half through the core, then cut a 1.5 inch steak on each side of the center.
  3. Save extra cauliflower for other recipes.
  4. Heat grill on high and when hot, brush grates with olive oil, place steaks on grill, brush oil on top.
  5. After 5 minutes, flip steaks for another 5 minutes.
  6. Top steaks with optional sauce or wet rub.
